This is a sad, sad time here at Spooky's Mouse.com - we lost one of the good ones recently. One of the really good ones, and it saddens me to see such a thing on a beautiful summer day: Chum (the smart looking fella on the left) passed away.

Yup. After 3 years of grabbing spiders off the wall, and chasing thousand-leggers in the shower, he finally cashed in his chips. Bought the big one. Took a dirt nap.

I would like to thank all of you very much for your heart felt condolences. Chum meant so much to so many people, and I know that he would have wanted it this way.

In this time of deep grief over your dearly depatred beloved, please keep in mind the imortal words of William Cullen Bryant in his celebrated study of death, Thanatopsis in which he reminds us that we all will someday "...mix forever with elements, to be a brother to the insenisble rock and to the sluggish clod..." Our dearly departed bretheren has now gone to "...lie down with patriarchs of the infant world - with kings, the powerful of the earth - the wise, the good, fair forms, and hoary seers of ages past..." Reqiesce in pacem. Pax vobiscum.

I'm sending you my deepest condolences. If only I spent more time with him... bought him that hat he wanted... taught him how to drive... took him fishing...(gulp)(sniff)...(gasp)...i have to go, i need a moment to reflect (gasp)...

I can't believe num died. He saved you hundreds of times in killing spiders, other bugs and those hideous 1000 leggers. I doubt you will ever find another toad that well trained and hungry. A road trip to potter or turkey hill is needed to find a replacement!
-Sneels

There comes a day when all you can do is carry on....this is that day...as a tribute we believe it would only be right if you would spend your mourning period sleeping where chum slept, eating what chum ate...go forward and carry on the legacy!

Wow... That really sucks. Well, at least he had a long and healthy life (for a toad). You know you will just have to pick up a Chum #2.
-Steve Forman

I'm really sorry to hear about poor old Chum. I hope you are looking into grievance counseling for Num it could be a while before he can move on in his life without Chum.
-Diana Urbine

Dear Tony: for what it is worth, but I do not understand what all this
is about. Condolences.
-Aunt Miriam

So sorry to hear of your recent loss. Toe-Jam, Lizzy & Ilsa pass along their sympathies as well, as they assure me that Chum must have been a true Toad's Toad
-Dennis Timmins

I went to your memorial site. You know, you really are a goofball! I'm glad you're happy though!
-Melissa Doman

I am so very sorry to hear of your loss. My heart is breaking, I am so sorry. Good luck and just take it one day at a time. Again, I am sorry.
